Still Life

Problem: Apply shaders, create lighting, and render the still life scene provided.
Solution: To start out I created a basic three point lighting set up using area lights. Once I had that done, I went down the list of items in the scene and added an initial blinn shader with color. I used blinn because everything in the scene reflects and blinn shaders allow for more control of the specular reflections. To get the color for each shader, I pulled reference images from the internet and sampled colors. I then added bump to every object because nothing is perfectly smooth. I then fine tuned the shader color, translucency, bump and specular. To finish off, I fine tuned the lights to fit real world lighting (adding a decay rate and color temperature to the light). |
