Sombrero

Problem: Model a sombrero using a polygon primitive and modifying vertices, edges, and faces.
Solution: To model this sombrero I started out with a sphere with 20x20 divisions. From there I scaled and moved the vertices of the bottom half of the sphere up and out to make the bottom flat. Then I pulled the edges up and scaled them close together to make a tight edge for the brim. To make the indents of the hat, I selected faces and moved them into the center of the hat. To make the indent for the head I selected the vertices on the bottom towards the center up. |
